Indoor Youth Soccer

Harrington Parks & Recreation Fall Soccer program is designed to get our youth up and moving! Ages are from 6–13. Registration for Indoor Soccer opens in October with practice beginning in January (coaches discretion on day and time). The youth play 6 games, which are played on Saturdays starting in January and lasting through late February/Early March. (The link for the registration form become active when signups open.)

Leagues are as follows:

  • Youth, Ages 6 through 9
  • Middle, Ages 10 through 13
  • The system will automatically place your player in the correct age group based on their birthdate. Players that play an age group in the fall and return for the spring will be placed in that same league unless otherwise requested.
  • If needed, you may request that your player play up in the next age group. We do not allow children to play down in a lower age group unless mitigating circumstances exist. (IE mental and or physical handicaps)
    • All Play up requests will be approved.
    • Play down requests are reviewed and may or may not be approved.
    • To request an age-group change, please complete your registration first and then email your request to .  Be specific as to pd****@****************re.gov why you are making the request.
  • You’ll have the opportunity during registration to submit:
    • Teammate requests
    • A preferred coach request
    • Preferred practice day(s)
    We do our best to honor these requests, but they cannot be guaranteed. Requests are reviewed in the order registrations are received, so registering early improves your chances.
  • If the coach you request is coaching within your player’s age group, your player will be placed on that coach’s team, even if other requests were made.
  • We try to accomodate teammate requests. However, teammate requests may not be fulfilled if:
    • A requested teammate requests a different coach
    • A requested teammate is in a different age group
    • A team’s roster fills before your registration is completed
  • Practice day requests are accommodated when possible, but are not guaranteed. Practice schedules depend on our wonderful volunteer coaches, who select the days they are available. In some cases, no coach in an age group may choose your preferred day(s).

UNIFORMS & EQUIPMENT

All players are required to wear the uniforms for games. Uniforms are ordered prior to the start of the season and distributed through the coaches. Shirt size is required on your registration form. Please be sure to complete that section.

  • Sneakers are required.
  • Shin guards are suggested..
  • NO JEWELRY, no hard hair barrettes, no casts.
