Harrington Heritage Day

Harrington Heritage Day is held the 4th Saturday in August each year, starting at 9 a.m. This annual event celebrates local history and agriculture with over 100 vendors, a food court, local entertainment throughout the day, a car show, kids’ activities, and three historical museums open to the public.
Location: Downtown Harrington (Fleming St, Mechanic St, Commerce St).
Highlights: Over 100 food/craft vendors, Southern Delaware Street Rod Association car show, Kids Zone with pony rides and petting zoo, and live entertainment.
Local history is celebrated at the Greater Harrington Historical Society, which opens its three museums, including the Railroad Tower, during the event. And be sure to stop in and grab an old-fashioned soda made fresh at the soda fountain!
Additional Activities
Food: Local churches (like Trinity UMC) hold special sales, including scrapple sandwiches and chicken salad.
Displays often include quilts, antique tractors, and Model train layouts.
Parking: Available at City Hall, Lake Forest South Elementary, and the Fire Company.
